Gyeongbuk Culture & Tourism Agency has launched a 1-night, 2-day “Gyeongju APEC Trail” package priced in the 100,000-won range per person. Sold through a dedicated domestic travel agency, the tour recreates APEC summit moments by visiting the reproduced summit hall at Expo Park, tasting the Hilton Gyeongju’s “Trump cheeseburger set” (the burger reportedly ordered by Donald Trump), and sampling summit menus like seafood pancakes served at Kolon Hotel and Hwangnam bread (a local sweet). The itinerary also includes the Uyang Museum, Bulguksa temple (part of the first ladies’ program), night media art and 3D light shows at Bomun, the National Gyeongju Museum with a special Silla gold crown exhibit, and stops on popular streets like Hwangridan-gil. The package covers round-trip bus from the Seoul area, one night, three meals, admission fees, guide, and insurance. Officials say the tour aims to extend APEC’s appeal into tourism; Gyeongju has seen a roughly 23% rise in visitors and a 36% increase in foreign tourists after the summit.
