Mona Yongpyong, a four-season premium resort in Korea, will open its ski slopes on the 21st, kicking off the 24/25 season. Initially the Pink slope (beginner–intermediate) will open among 28 slopes, with more runs scheduled to open progressively depending on temperatures and snowfall. Opening-day events include a ceremony and free “opening bread” for early visitors. The resort is expanding family-friendly programs this winter: a Christmas musical gala starring Hong Ji-min on Dec 24, busking, a fireworks show, sunrise cable car rides and a New Year countdown. In February a long-running “Foreigners’ Ski Festival” (주한 외교관 등 foreign diplomats and expatriates) will host about 500 participants, and the season finale will feature the unique “Balwangsu Splash” water-puddle ski performance. Mona Yongpyong operates 28 slopes and 14 lifts, offering runs for all levels and leveraging 50+ years of snowmaking and slope management expertise to maintain good snow quality and safety. The resort will also launch a home-shopping package on Dec 7 via CJ OnStyle, bundling rooms with lift tickets, rentals, cable car, water park and other seasonal attractions for families, couples and friends, plus launch-day discounts and extras.
