Southernmost Mosulpo Amberjack Festival in Jeju

At Mosulpo Port in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo, Jeju, locals and visitors gathered on the morning of Nov. 20 for the southernmost Mosulpo Amberjack Festival. Participants took part in a hand-catching event where they caught and proudly displayed freshly caught amberjack (a popular Korean fish, often called 'bangeo' or 'buri' in other regions). The festival highlights Jeju’s coastal food culture and community activities centered on seasonal fish harvests.
