Lee Jeong-ho, a 59-year-old sales manager at Hyundai’s Seongdong branch, became the company’s 23rd “Top Seller” after surpassing 5,000 vehicle sales over a 33-year career. In an interview he said his key to success is consistent self-management—being in top physical and mental condition for customer meetings—and building long-term trust that brings repeat buyers and referrals. Having started in a truck branch, Lee sells a wide range of vehicles, including taxis, and notes rising demand for electric and hybrid models among commercial buyers. He regularly donates through the company’s “Honors Club” (아너스클럽) which pools funds from top sellers to help vulnerable groups, and has received company-awarded electric cars he shares with family. Lee also warned that today’s customers come well-informed via online comparison tools, so sales staff must prepare tailored, practical proposals. He praised renewed interest in electrified models—saying the hydrogen Nexo (넥쏘) is often sold out—and intends to keep meeting customers with the same disciplined routine until retirement.
