A new exhibition, “글(자)감(각): Writing and Tools,” opened at the National Hangeul Museum’s showspace in Culture Station Seoul 284 on the 19th. The show gathers 139 works by 23 creators across writing, visual arts, craft, media art and installations to explore how Hangul (the Korean alphabet) and writing tools—from pencils and fountain pens to AI—shape the sensory experience of letters. Highlights include documentaries about people who make or collect writing tools, reinterpretations of the pencil like “The Joy of Writing Together,” and an AI-driven robot artwork, “Gihuihyang,” that generates images in real time to mark the meeting of Hangul and advanced technology. The exhibition runs until March 22 next year. (Culture Station Seoul 284: a historic railway station repurposed as a cultural venue)
