Welfare Group in Ulju Donates Tea-Event Funds to Vulnerable Residents

In Ulsan’s Ulju County, a local welfare committee donated 2.12 million won raised from a one-day tea house (일일찻집) to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea to support low-income vulnerable households. The committee ran the fundraising tea stall during the county’s signature food festival, the Bonggye Hanwoo Bulgogi Festival (봉계한우불고기축제), and previously distributed rice-cake soup (tteokguk) packages to 100 needy households including elderly living alone and people with disabilities. Committee chair Kim Su-bok said the group hopes to raise community awareness of neighbors in need and continue small acts of sharing.
