Simmons Terrace, a cultural complex run by Simmons Korea in Icheon, has become a popular pet-friendly destination, especially during the Christmas season when the lawn park is decorated with trees and illuminations. Opened in 2018 near the Simmons factory, the 4,736m² site includes a brand museum, cafe, experience spaces and a grassy garden; most areas allow pets and the spot has drawn over 1.6 million visitors in seven years. This year’s holiday theme, “Monster Invasion,” features four mascot characters and live performances. Simmons Korea recently launched N32 “Jjokkomi,” a pet-specific mattress (only produced in Korea) made from plant-based materials with seven-layer construction and certifications for pet safety and low contaminants; visitors can try these mattresses on-site. While the adjacent Factoryal tour shows mattress production, pets are not allowed there for hygiene and safety. The Terrace also showcases artworks by French visual artist Jean Jullien, providing popular photo spots. Many owners appreciate that the venue accommodates both indoor and outdoor time with pets, and hope for more such pet-friendly spaces.
