CJ CheilJedang, a leading company in Korean food (K-Food), is expanding its reach by selling its products in grocery stores within U.S. military bases around the world, starting with Guam. This expansion includes launching plant-based dumplings and Tteokbokki (a spicy Korean rice cake dish) as well as other products like pre-cooked rice (Hetbahn), catering to the convenience needs of military personnel. The initiative kicked off with a promotional event where U.S. soldiers and their families had positive feedback on the taste and quality. CJ CheilJedang plans to extend this initiative to more bases globally, aiming to solidify their presence in the military's processed food market.
