The 'Berlin Philharmonic Unsuk Chin Edition' album won the contemporary music album award at the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA). This album showcases the close relationship between Korean composer Unsuk Chin and the Berlin Philharmonic, highlighting her significant contributions as a composer in the 21st century. The album, released in December 2023, includes major orchestral and concert works by Chin recorded by the Berlin Philharmonic from 2005 to 2022, featuring renowned conductors and musicians. The ICMA ceremony will take place on March 19 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Unsuk Chin is also the artistic director of the Tongyeong International Music Festival and is currently working on an opera to premiere in Hamburg, Germany.
