Chef's Kimchi Recipe: Kimchi Sharing Festival at Gangnam Gaepo Market on 19th

Gangnam District will host a Kimchi Sharing Festival on the 19th from 2–5 PM at Gangnam Gaepo Market to celebrate kimjang (traditional kimchi-making season) and boost the local market. Renowned chef Bang Ki-soo, former head chef of Korea’s first Michelin one-star Korean restaurant and TV contestant known as the 'Black-and-White Chef', will lead a kimjang demonstration using his own recipe. Fifty pre-selected teams will take part in hands-on kimchi-making and can take home their kimchi afterward. Visitors who spend over 30,000 won at the market or post event-related social media (SNS) 인증 (proof or verification) will receive kimchi made that day. Gangnam’s mayor hopes the event will share community warmth and revitalize the market.
