At the ‘Style Korean K-Beauty Conference’ in Gangnam, Silicontwo CEO Kim Seong-woon said Korean cosmetics (K-beauty) will likely become the world’s second-largest cosmetics exporter this year, overtaking the U.S. He explained Silicontwo’s global expansion—recent subsidiaries in Mexico and Dubai—and noted the company now distributes Korean beauty products to about 7,000 clients in 175 countries, using real-time sales data to adapt to local markets. Government data showed Korea’s cosmetics exports rose to $10.2 billion last year. Kim said the firm will expand into haircare (shampoos and treatments) distribution but will not launch its own brand. Silicontwo operates overseas offices in locations including California, New Jersey, Poland, the U.K., France, Malaysia, Dubai, Vietnam, Singapore, Russia, and Indonesia, and reported strong financial results last year.
