Seoul Shilla Hotel Sells 500,000‑Won Truffle Christmas Cake, Limited to Three per Day

Seoul Shilla Hotel’s pastry boutique will sell five holiday special cakes from Dec 24–31, including a standout truffle cake called “The Finest Luxury” priced at 500,000 won. The hotel raised the truffle cake price by 100,000 won from last year by adding white truffle (a winter-only, wild ingredient far pricier and more aromatic than black truffle). The cake can take up to a week to finish and, due to scarce ingredients, will be limited to three cakes per day. The hotel is also reintroducing its popular bear-shaped cake “The Joyful Shilla Bear,” offered in six flavors including cheese and milk/dark chocolate. Hotel officials said they upgraded the flagship luxury cake in response to growing interest in flavor and quality.
