The Tongyeong Hansan Battle Cultural Foundation has appointed Jeong Yong-won as the general director for the successful hosting of the 2025 Tongyeong National Heritage Night event and the 64th Tongyeong Hansan Battle Festival. The foundation aims to promote Tongyeong's unique cultural identity and history through nighttime programs and festivals that commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-sin's naval victories. The 2025 National Heritage Night will take place on May 3-4, under the theme 'Encounter Tongyeong under the Moonlight,' and the 64th Tongyeong Hansan Battle Festival will be held from August 9-14.
