On November 22 at 10:00 AM, the Daegu Bangjja Yugi Museum will run a family craft program called “Doran Doran Bangjja Yugi Museum Outing.” The museum, the country’s only museum dedicated to bangjja yugi (traditional Korean hammered bronzeware) located in Palgongsan National Park, offers monthly hands-on activities for children and their families. This session lets participants decorate a dapo (tea cloth) to create a unique bapsangbo (a personal table cloth), followed by a guided experience featuring the sound and meditation with a bangjja yugi 'jwa-jong' (a type of bronze bell) made by master artisan Lee Bong-ju (an honorary yugi craftsman, a national intangible cultural heritage). Applications are open through the museum website until the 18th; 30 families (up to 4 people per family) will be chosen by lottery. For inquiries: 053-430-7926.
