Athleisure brand Andar clarified it has no ties to former executives recently convicted under the National Security Law. The company said the couple involved resigned from all positions in 2021 and that Andar’s management changed after EcoMarketing (a KOSDAQ-listed firm) acquired shares and installed professional executives. Andar emphasized the current leadership and brand are unrelated to the individuals named in news reports, warned of legal action against reputation damage, and reiterated its goal to be the world’s top K-asedeleisure (K-애슬레저) brand by improving products and brand experience. The statement was posted on the company’s official Instagram amid consumer confusion following the arrest of a former co-founder.
