Renowned pianist Lim Yunchan, who has gained worldwide acclaim, will hold a special school concert exclusively for students in Tongyeong on March 28 at the Tongyeong Concert Hall. The event is part of the educational program organized by the Tongyeong International Music Festival Foundation aiming to broaden the classical music base among students and enhance cultural pride. Lim will perform Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Tongyeong Festival Orchestra, conducted by Fabien Gabel. Lim Yunchan is notable for being the youngest winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2022. The 2025 Tongyeong International Music Festival will also feature performances of major works by renowned composers such as Yun I-sang and Pierre Boulez.
