A fire broke out at the E-Land Fashion logistics center in Pungse-myeon, Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province on the morning of the 15th. Firefighters brought the blaze under control about 9 hours and 30 minutes later with 11 helicopters, 150 vehicles and 430 personnel. Three staff members evacuated safely and there were no casualties. The response was raised from Level 1 to Level 2 as clothing stored inside accelerated the spread. The 2014-built facility (a major logistics center handling up to 50,000 boxes daily and serving dozens of E-Land brands including SPAO and New Balance Korea) suffered disruptions: SPAO and New Balance warned of delayed shipments and possible order cancellations. Police and fire authorities will investigate the cause and damage after mopping up remaining flames.
