'Lee Kun-hee Collection' Opens First Overseas Exhibition in Washington, D.C.

Seoul’s National Museum of Korea and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art announced that the special exhibition "Treasures of Korea: Collecting, Caring, Sharing" will open on November 15 at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art in Washington, D.C. This is the first overseas showing of the 'Lee Kun-hee Collection'—artworks and artifacts donated to the nation by the late Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee and his family. The exhibition highlights important Korean cultural objects and aims to introduce Korea’s artistic heritage to an international audience.
