Korean dessert cafe chain Sulbing reported 1.2 million sales of its chocolate bingsu (shaved ice dessert) across August–October, with category revenue rising over 10%. Top sellers included ‘Dubai Choco Sulbing’ (32,000 units), a premium Sulbing take on the viral ‘Dubai chocolate’, and ‘Kkae-meokneun THE Dwaeji-bar Sulbing’—a collaboration with Lotte Wellfood that sold 100,000 units within 10 days of its late-August launch. Sulbing tailored chocolate bingsu concepts by age: ‘Oreo Choco Monster Sulbing’ appealed to teens with visual and value cues, while ‘Choco Brownie Sulbing’ targeted people in their 20s–30s with rich flavors and textures. The chain credits menu innovation, trend responsiveness, and brand collaborations for expanding its customer base and sustaining popularity, and says it will continue experimenting to offer diverse dessert experiences.
