Two solo recitals will take place at Yeongsan Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul on the 22nd. Violinist Park Ji-young (3:00 PM) — a Sookmyung Women’s University graduate with master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Cincinnati, and a prizewinner in several competitions — performs a varied program with pianist Kim Yu-kyung and flutist Kwak Moon-jung, featuring works by Gluck, Bach, Gounod, Fauré and Wieniawski. Flutist Yoo Jeong-eun (7:30 PM) — educated at Yewon Arts University and the Istituto Musicale “Luca” (Luca Sinfonia School) in Italy with advanced studies in orchestral conducting and flute performance — presents works including Michel Blavet’s Sonata in G minor “La Rondo” Op.2, Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” arranged for flute and piano by Olivier Nagnie, Hummel’s Flute Sonata Op.50, and the Doppler brothers’ “Hungarian Fantasy” for two flutes and piano, with collaborators Hong Jeong-in (flute) and Kwak Geon (piano).
