Korean fried chicken brand bhc has signed new franchise agreements to open two more U.S. locations: a New Jersey store in Fort Lee (a residential area with a large Korean community) slated for January, and a Georgia store in Gwinnett County’s Buford opening in February. The Fort Lee outlet will prioritize efficient takeout and curbside-friendly counter service while offering about 30 indoor seats for full-dining experiences. The Buford location targets a populous, family-oriented area with strong Korean ties. Both stores will feature bhc’s signature “Ppurinkle” (뿌링클) menu — a bestselling seasoned chicken — along with wing and tender combo options, various proprietary sauces, and localized items such as the popular Ppurinkle sandwich. bhc’s U.S. head says rising interest in K-food and K-content is boosting demand from both Korean and non-Korean customers, and the company will tailor offerings and operations to local tastes and site characteristics to support further U.S. expansion.
