The 8th Pyeongchang Highland Kimjang Festival opened on the 14th at Jinbu-myeon Community Sports Park in Pyeongchang, Gangwon. Despite being a weekday, many visitors attended to make kimchi (kimjang: traditional communal cabbage pickling event). The festival uses locally grown highland napa cabbage and all domestic ingredients. Participants can reserve via the official website or phone, register on-site, and the festival runs through the 16th.
