The 8th Pyeongchang Highland Kimjang Festival opened on the 14th at Jinbu Township Sports Park in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province. Despite a weekday, many visitors gathered to make kimjang (traditional Korean communal kimchi-making). The festival uses only domestic ingredients, including highland cabbage grown in Pyeongchang, and runs through the 16th. Participation can be reserved via the official website or phone, with same-day on-site registration available.
