Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa on Mai Khao Beach completed a major renovation for its 15th anniversary, blending modern luxury with southern Thai coastal character. Guest rooms and pool villas were redesigned using natural materials (e.g., wood, stone, fabric) and handcrafted details. Lighting inspired by Andaman Sea shells and region-specific fabric patterns bring local warmth, while beachfront pool villas offer private, authentic retreats. Public and private spaces act as a canvas for “The Pearl of the Andaman,” featuring décor influenced by traditional fishing tools and local architecture, plus abstract murals of Phuket’s sea and sky to immerse guests in regional culture. Dining and wellness offerings were upgraded: a highly rated breakfast, Thai restaurant Takieng, renovated Sand Box beachfront bar & eatery, private villa barbecue dinners, Quan Spa, 24-hour fitness, and an infinity pool. Located about 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport near Sirinat National Park, the resort aims to pair five-star service with sensory design for its next 15 years.
