Gangneung City Symphony Orchestra Presents 148th Subscription Concert

The Gangneung City Symphony Orchestra will present its 148th subscription concert at the Gangneung Art Center Saimdang Hall on the 14th at 7:30 PM and the 15th at 4 PM. World-class Korean pianist Sunwook Kim (김선욱), winner of the 2006 Leeds International Piano Competition, will be featured as soloist. The program includes Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 and Wagner’s “The Ring: Orchestral Adventure,” offering a blend of classical and romantic repertoire. Tickets are available for elementary school students and up; R seats cost 20,000 won and S seats 10,000 won via the Gangneung Art Center website. Shim Gyu-man, director of the art center, said he hopes Kim’s music will bring a special story to the audience. (Gangneung Art Center: a local performing arts venue in Gangneung.)
