Orion reported resilient third-quarter results driven by double-digit growth in its Russia unit and expanded exports from Korea. Consolidated revenue rose 7% year-on-year to KRW 828.9 billion and operating profit edged up 0.6% to KRW 137.9 billion. Overseas sales accounted for 68.8% of revenue. Russia posted 44.7% sales growth with high local demand for diversified snacks like ChocoPie Watermelon and Fresh Pie, pushing factory utilization above 120%. China grew sales by 4.7% by focusing on high-growth channels (snack shops, convenience stores, e-commerce) and tailored products. Vietnam saw slight sales decline but volume growth and is expanding rice-snack lines; India delivered strong 38.7% growth by regional retail expansion and low-price SKUs. Korea’s domestic sales rose 4.3% while operating profit dipped due to one-off recall costs, though export growth for K-snacks helped. Orion plans capacity expansions, new product launches, and market diversification into the U.S., Europe, Africa and the Middle East, while managing raw material cost pressures and protecting margins.
