Premiere of 'On the Bed'—A Forensic Drama Probing Death and Life

Theatre company Jeok premieres the play 'On the Bed' at Guri Art Hall’s Yu-Chae-Kkot (yuchae-kkot) Small Theater from April 14–16. The drama follows two female forensic pathologists—teacher Sin-jeong and protégé Mi-su—whose clash and solidarity examine wounds left by collective and personal deaths. Using postmortem examination as its central motif, the play expands the forensic gaze to confront past traumas, present injustices, and asks how to move "beyond death to life, from mourning to hope." The production brings together award-winning playwright Park Ji-seon and director Lee Gon, with lead actors Park Myung-shin and Kim Kwang-deok, and is supported by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation’s 2025 new premiere support program.
