Seoul Ranks No.2 Worldwide in Entertainment at New TOURISE Awards

Seoul was named the world’s No.2 travel destination for Entertainment at the inaugural TOURISE Awards held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The awards, sponsored by the Saudi government and organized by the Saudi Tourism Authority, evaluated destinations across five categories—Entertainment, Arts & Culture, Food & Cuisine, Shopping, and Adventure—using expert judges and global travel data. Winners included Tokyo for Entertainment and Food, New York for Arts & Culture, Paris for Shopping, and Ancasí (Peru) for Adventure. Organizers highlighted Seoul’s mix of innovation and culture, the global influence of K-pop, cutting-edge entertainment, and vibrant night culture (야간문화) as key strengths. Seoul also made the Top 20 in three categories (Entertainment, Food & Cuisine, Shopping) announced earlier. The city’s tourism official said Seoul offers countless attractive experiences for individual travelers and will continue to build distinctive tourism content and innovative services to become a top global destination.
