Seoul Ranks No.2 Globally as an Entertainment Travel Destination in Saudi-Backed Awards

Seoul was ranked the world’s No.2 entertainment travel destination by the Saudi government–backed TOURISE Awards, held for the first time in Riyadh. The awards evaluated destinations across five categories — entertainment, arts & culture, food & cuisine, shopping, and adventure — using expert judges and global tourism data. Seoul placed second in entertainment after Tokyo, and made the top-20 in food and shopping. Organizers praised Seoul for blending innovation with culture, the global influence of K-pop, cutting-edge entertainment, and vibrant nightlife (야간문화). Seoul’s tourism official said the city will continue developing unique tourism content and services to attract global visitors.
