Undefeated Lawyer Defends a Murderer — A Study of Human Duality

Theater group Actors stages Lucid Dream (루시드드림) from Nov. 13–18 at Small Theater Exit 6, exploring inner conflicts at the border of dream and reality as an undefeated lawyer takes on a serial killer’s defense, highlighting human duality. The play, based on Cha Geun-ho’s script and newly directed by Son Byung-tae, runs weekdays 7:30 pm and weekends 4 pm (tickets 30,000 KRW). Also in Busan: family musical Gyujung Chilwoo (규중칠우) on Nov. 15–16 at Busan Arts Center, using a late Joseon novel as inspiration and personifying seven sewing tools (tickets 25,000 KRW); the 12th Creative Orchestra Night on Nov. 23 at Busan Cultural Center showcasing seven newly commissioned orchestral works under the theme “Comfort, Healing” (free); and several art exhibitions — Seochan-seok’s “Stranger and Ghost” (Open Space Bae until Nov. 16), 서채하’s “Records of Unrecorded Moments” (Romantic Time Lab until Nov. 23) re-presenting overlooked everyday traces in document-like displays, Kim Young-jin’s pointillist “Humming Garden in BUSAN” (Lotus Gallery until Nov. 29), and Son Jin-a’s “Floating Memory” (Karin Gallery until Nov. 30).
