A week of autumn fishing saw active catches across Korea. Freshwater anglers near Busan reported 24–30 cm crucian carp (붕어) in groups of 2–6, with occasional larger specimens. Offshore, cod (대구) fishing using tai-rubber jigs produced many big cod up to 80–100 cm in Goseong and Sokcho. Squid (무늬오징어) bites were lively off Yeongdeok, with some over 1 kg. Around Busan, Gadeokdo was bustling with autumn black sea bream (감성돔) fishing; most anglers landed 25–35 cm fish, 1–3 per trip, from breakwaters and reefs. Nearby spots including Saengdo, Taejongdae, and Jisepo also yielded 30–35 cm black sea bream and porgies (벵에돔) in similar numbers. Some southern islands and Tongyeong areas produced larger black sea bream of 40–58 cm and mixed catches of amberjack and small red sea bream. Anglers are advised to use bait that avoids small nuisance fish for better results.
