South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT will run a series of “Korea–US research exchange and cooperation” meetings across major U.S. cities and research universities from Sept. 14 to Oct. 16. Aimed at attracting global talent in AI, semiconductors, biotech and space, the tour includes events in New York, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Chicago and direct visits to research-focused campuses such as the University of Illinois and Purdue. The initiative—led by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity with participation from top Korean science institutes, POSTECH, KOTRA and others—offers policy briefings, tailored consultations, and networking for research collaboration and hiring. The ministry says the effort is meant to help Korea become a “good country to research and work in” and build a stronger global research network.
