Chuncheon Scholarship Foundation Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Donor Appreciation Night

Chuncheon’s citizen scholarship foundation marked its 10th anniversary with a “Thank You Night” honoring nine major sponsoring groups and individual donors. The event presented appreciation plaques, recognized broadcaster Kim Sung-ryeong for promoting a culture of sharing, and received new scholarship donations from local leaders. Cultural performances included mime by “Suitman,” a Chuncheon municipal arts ensemble, and pansori (traditional Korean narrative singing) by master singer Lee So-young. Concurrently, the foundation updated its name to “Chuncheon Talent Development Scholarship Foundation” through revised bylaws and plans to expand education programs—such as career and college counseling, English camps, and parent academies—to support local students. Mayor Yuk Dong-han highlighted donors’ support as a vital asset for the next decade and Chuncheon’s long-term educational future.
