PODO Museum will hold two year-end sessions of its Salon de PODO: Artist Talk series, linked to the exhibition “We Are Such Small Beings.” On November 15 (2–3 PM) designer-artist Maarten Baas (Netherlands) will discuss his humorous, philosophical work about time, including a new commissioned video “Real Time Conveyor Belt Clock,” which satirizes modern life’s repetitive labor. On December 21 the talk features third-generation Zainichi (Korean-Japanese) artist Sumi Kanazawa in the second gallery; her delicate hand-made pieces, like “Drawings on Newspaper” (2017–), materialize layers of time through repetitive marks. Both talks explore human finitude, social control, and how countless small acts build vast presences. Events offer simultaneous interpretation, require online reservation, and are free for exhibition ticket holders.
