Musinsa Appoints Veteran Ikeda Mike to Lead Japan Unit, Aims to Accelerate K-Fashion Push

Fashion platform Musinsa has named Ikeda Mike as CEO of its Japan unit, Musinsa Japan. Ikeda is a 25-year industry veteran with roles at Nike Japan, Levi’s Japan, Oakley Japan, and Boss Japan, bringing deep experience in product development, supply chain and business development. Musinsa expects his local expertise to strengthen partnerships with Japanese brands, expand offline channels, and improve distribution of Korean designer labels (K-fashion) in Japan. The move supports Musinsa’s broader strategy in Japan, where its global store sales rose 120% year-on-year in Q3 and it recently opened a shop on the Japanese fashion platform ZOZOTOWN (Zozo Town). The company said Japan remains a central market for its global expansion and that Ikeda’s appointment will accelerate on- and offline growth there.
