LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H) received the National Heritage Agency Director’s Commendation at the 2025 National Heritage Social Contribution Conference in Tongyeong — its second such award since 2021. The company has acted as a corporate “guardian of national heritage” since a 2015 partnership with the National Heritage Agency, supporting preservation of royal palaces, transmission of intangible cultural heritage, and development of content celebrating Korean court (gungjung) culture. Notable initiatives include the 2023 “Royal Dining” court-culture campaign featuring a palace tea experience with Michelin-starred chef Cho Eun-hee and traditional sweets paired with the company’s Buhn-hu (The History of Whoo) Hwanyu line ingredients; a two-year project to recreate the late Joseon/Empire-era royal winter court robe (dangui) worn by Crown Princess Bangja to reduce damage to originals; and a display at the APEC summit in Gyeongju showcasing traditional crafts like mother-of-pearl inlay. LG H&H said it will continue preservation and public outreach efforts to protect Korea’s cultural heritage and promote sustainable traditional culture.
