As the year-end peak season approaches, major luxury hotels in Seoul are temporarily raising buffet prices for December, but Westin Seoul Parnas' buffet 'On Table' will keep its current rates. On Table's weekday lunch is 173,000 won and dinner and weekend/holiday meals are 198,000 won per adult; its festive menu will be upgraded with items like tomahawk steak, Korean beef (hanwoo), lobster and truffle. Other hotels are increasing December prices: Chosun Palace's 'Constance' and Westin Chosun's 'Aria' raise weekday and weekend rates, and Seoul Shilla's 'The Parkview' applies middle and high season pricing with higher evening and holiday fees. Lotte Hotel Seoul's 'L'Avenue (La Seine)' becomes the priciest during high season with dinner up to 225,000 won. Industry sources say December demand keeps buffet bookings full, sustaining higher prices. (hanwoo: premium Korean beef)
