The 20th Busan Fireworks Festival will take place on the 15th across Gwangalli Beach, Igidae Park, and Dongbaek Island, mounted as a larger, more spectacular event aimed at attracting 3 million foreign visitors. Upgraded lighting on the Gwangandaegyo (Gwangandaegyo Bridge) and increased barges—expanded from 8 to 13—will enable grander, three-point pyrotechnic displays including a 200-shot multiplex and international guest shows. The program features daytime “Fireworks Street” with balloon art and street performances, a prologue and opening ceremony with a touch-button moment, then three main acts: a 20th-anniversary celebratory show synced to a track by global artist G-Dragon (from his album 'Ubermensch'), a 15-minute invited show by Japanese pyrotechnics company Hibikiya, and a finale by Hanwha titled “Twenty Autumns.” Safety measures include about 7,000 staff—police, fire, volunteers and others—to manage an expected crowd of one million and prevent incidents; partial road closures around Gwangandaegyo will run from the 10th to the 15th.
