H&M Group CEO Daniel Ervér says the fashion industry must move from a linear ‘take-make-dispose’ model to a circular one, expanding recycling and secondhand services. H&M—operating 4,118 stores in 79 countries—has grown profit by cutting inventory through AI-driven demand forecasting and supply-chain optimization. The group acquired resale platform “Sellpy” and runs “pre-loved” (pre-owned clothing) services in multiple countries, planning more rollouts. H&M aims to increase use of recycled and sustainably produced materials, reduce waste and emissions, and invest in markets like Korea, which it calls one of the most dynamic and trend-setting markets. The long-term vision is to build profitable, resource-light business models that make sustainable fashion accessible to all.
