Nongshim Targets Global Fans with New ‘Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-Fry Noodles’

Nongshim is expanding its Shin Ramyun brand with a new export-focused product, 'Shin Ramyun Kimchi Stir-Fry Noodles', slated for release in 60–70 countries from year-end. Following the success of 'Shin Ramyun Tumba' (a prior fusion-style product), the company aims to make this kimchi-flavored stir-fry noodle a global hit by blending familiar sweet notes with authentic Korean spiciness to match the growing 'Swicy' (sweet + spicy) trend. The product features a roasted kimchi paste made from aged kimchi, sesame-oil frying, bok choy and kimchi flakes for rich flavor and texture; it took two years to develop the noodle and sauce balance. Nongshim plans limited domestic sales at Emart on the 24th before wider rollout, may introduce a cup version, and will price it at 1,300 won (same as Tumba). The launch is part of a broader strategy to grow Shin Ramyun’s lineup and raise overseas revenue from 37% to 60% by 2030, promoting Korean spicy flavors and kimchi as a flagship K-food ingredient.
