On the weekends of Nov. 15-16 and 22-23, the Seoul Tourism Organization will host the free “Seoul Eco Hiking Festa” at Namsangol Hanok Village. The festival offers themed hikes for locals and international visitors, including a performance hike on Nov. 15 where participants wear hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) or related accessories and walk Namsan in a Joseon-era hiker concept. Between hikes there will be madangnori (traditional yard plays), walking dramas with folk tales, and surprise performances. The Global Hiking Mate (Seoul’s international hiking ambassadors) will hold a closing ceremony and restart activities with a new cohort in early 2026. Nov. 16 hosts a “Challenge Hiking” with two difficulty options; hikers who post verification photos at checkpoints on SNS receive a completion certificate and hiking gear. Nov. 22 offers a family-friendly, barrier-free course suitable for strollers and mobility-impaired participants. Nov. 23 features “Yoga Hiking” with yoga and posture-correction sessions before and after the walk. All programs are free; registration is open via a Naver form until Monday, Nov. 10.
