Kendrick Lamar topped nominations for the 68th Grammy Awards with nine nods, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year for his album GNX. Bad Bunny earned six nominations and female stars like Lady Gaga (7) and Sabrina Carpenter (6) also ranked highly. K-pop artists made notable gains: BLACKPINK’s Rosé was nominated for three categories with “APT.” (Apartment) and the Netflix animation K-pop Demon Hunters’ OST “Golden” received five nominations, including Song of the Year. Several major categories feature stiff competition among hip-hop, Latin pop, mainstream pop and K-pop acts. The ceremony will be held Feb. 1 in Los Angeles; winners are chosen by about 15,000 Recording Academy voting members.
