Soprano Kim Eun-byul will hold a homecoming solo recital on the 15th at Yeongsan Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Trained at Sejong University and the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar (master’s in opera), she also completed masterclasses in Rome and Würzburg and sang with the Weimar State Theatre chorus in 2019–20. Her program includes motets, art songs, and opera arias by Mozart, Hugo Wolf, Richard Strauss, Debussy, William Walton, and Bernstein. Contact: Label Art Planning (0505-007-4429). On the 16th, Yeongsan Art Hall hosts the winners’ concert from the 16th annual Kukmin Ilbo–Yeongsan Art Hall Organ & Chamber Music Competition. The show features first-place winners from the August contest, including non-major (hobbyist) category prizewinners—a new addition this year reflecting growing interest in serious amateur study. Organ performers include Lee Ha-neul (Dongguk University, non-major 1st), Jung Eun-seo (college division 1st), and Lee Jeong-in (Yonsei University, overall grand prize & graduate/general division 1st). Chamber winners Yang Chan-young and Bae Do-hwa (Kookmin University, graduate/general division 1st) will present varied repertoire. Contact: Yeongsan Art Hall (02-6181-5260).
