A family-friendly piano duo concert honoring French composer Camille Saint-Saëns’ 190th birthday will be held on the 16th at Suseong Artpia (수성아트피아). Presented by Daegu-based cultural exchange group Shupiläum (슈필라움), the program is an all-Saint-Saëns lineup including lullaby, Danse Macabre (Death’s Dance), and The Carnival of the Animals, with commentary and narration to engage children and newcomers. Pianists Ogumseon (오금선), a Korean-Japanese pianist active in Daegu and Japan, and Namiko Hashida from Osaka will perform together to mark the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic normalization. Guest artists include cellist Seo Hyukmin and Japanese clarinetist Mayumi Tsutsui, featuring clarinet sonata and Allegro appassionato for cello and piano. The show follows successful concerts in Osaka and Tokyo and is free entry, suitable for ages 5 and up.
