The 16th Sokcho Yangmiri and Dorumuk Festival runs Nov. 7–16 at Sokcho Port, showcasing seasonal East Coast delicacies yangmiri (a small Pacific sandfish) and dorumuk (also known as Arabesque greenling). Organized by the Sokcho Fisheries Cooperative and the Yangmiri Netters Association, the event aims to promote local seafood and boost fishers’ incomes. Visitors can buy seafood directly from sellers, enjoy a food market featuring local merchants, and watch side events including pumba (a street performance style) shows, creating a lively mix of taste and entertainment. Officials hope tourists and residents will savor Sokcho’s maritime scenery and fresh seafood.
