UNIQLO is releasing the ‘KAWS WINTER’ knitwear collection on December 5, a collaboration with global artist KAWS, who was named the brand’s first “Artist in Residence.” The line features KAWS’s signature Companion character and ‘XX’ motif across colorful, warm pieces that expand the partnership from casual tees into broader LifeWear (UNIQLO’s term for everyday functional clothing). Items include cashmere and lambswool sweaters, kid’s pieces in soft Soufflé Yarn™ (수플레얀™) material, and six accessories—beanies, gloves, and two-tone scarves—made with HEATTECH (히트텍) fabric for extra warmth. The kid’s knit caps and mittens are designed to coordinate with the Soufflé Yarn sweaters. The red, green and yellow color-block styles, embroidered with Companion and ‘XX’ details, aim to capture a festive holiday mood and make thoughtful gifts. KAWS said he’s pleased to extend the collaboration into knitwear and hopes people will wear the items in daily winter life.
