The '2025 Art in Gangwon' exhibition, titled 'Baekdudaegan — Resonance of Connection,' opened at the National Chuncheon Museum (Children’s Museum) on May 4 and runs through the 16th. Organized by Art in Gangwon, the contemporary art show explores relationships between nature and people, and tradition and modernity, using the Baekdudaegan mountain range as its organizing axis. Twenty-five Gangwon-based artists present works across three sections: 'Time of the Baekdudaegan' (geology and landscape), 'Connection of Humans and Nature' (lived traditions and memories), and 'Resonance and Echo' (interaction between nature, art, and audience). The exhibition aims to visualize regional identity and shared sensitivity through contemporary practices. At an earlier general meeting, artist Im Geun-woo was elected the new chair of Art in Gangwon. The event was supported by Gangwon Province, Gangwon Cultural Foundation, the National Chuncheon Museum, and others.
