Pyeongchang Highland Kimchi Festival Offers Hands-On Kimjang with Premium Sea Mineral Salt

The 8th Pyeongchang Highland Kimjang Festival opened Nov. 5 at Jinbu-myeon Sports Park in Pyeongchang, Gangwon. Visitors are making kimchi using locally grown highland (goraengji) cabbages known for their crisp texture and all-domestic ingredients. For the first time the festival offers a premium kimjang experience using napa cabbage brined with deep-sea mineral salt (haeyang simcheung-su). The event runs through Nov. 17.
