An exhibition titled “Park Su-geun, Park Sung-nam: Father and Son” is on view at Art Bus Seoul in Samseong-dong through the 7th. The show pairs works by beloved national painter Park Su-geun (1914–1965), known for his poignant, textural scenes of postwar everyday life, with recent works by his son Park Sung-nam. Highlights include Park Su-geun’s 1950s painting “Gwiro” (returning home) depicting women carrying loads and about 20 of Park Sung-nam’s recent moon jar (dalhangari) paintings. Park Sung-nam says his moon jar series honors and continues his father’s artistic spirit.
