Osan City in Gyeonggi Province completed a citizen-driven food discovery project called 'Osan — Have You Been to That Place?' to select the 'Osan Top 10 Restaurants' for 2025. After businesses applied in March, about 8,000 residents voted, and a panel of 10 citizen evaluators plus two consumer food hygiene inspectors visited shortlisted venues to assess taste, hygiene, and service. The final list includes: Hyangyeon177, Yukmirak, Chilgongju Jokbal (braised pig’s trotters), Gwangju Gopchang (grilled beef/intestine specialty), Jeju Doldamjip, Handon Gojip (Korean pork specialty), Dajeong Myeonga, Orihyang (duck-flavored restaurant), Hanwoo Saeng-gak (Korean beef-focused), and Ttobagi Dongtae-tang (pollock stew). Mayor Lee Kwon-jae said the citizen-selected eateries enrich Osan’s food culture and that the city will continue supporting the dining sector and a vibrant urban atmosphere.
